Roland Powell was born on 12th June 1977, in Duval County Jacksonville, Florida USA, with his stage name of Lil Duval, for which he is best known, actually being a tribute to his birthplace. Lil Duval is a stand-up comedian, rapper and actor, who made his national debut in 2005, when he arrived in the semi-finals of “Coming to the Stage”, a BET comedy competition series. People can now see him on television in the shows “Guy Code” and “Hip Hop Squares”. In 2013, he started his own television show on MTV2, called “Ain’t That America”, which made him known all over the world. His show is the second highest rated program in the channel’s history.

A year later, he had an appearance in Cedric’s show, “Cedric the Entertainer: Starting Lineup”.

In 2003 and 2005, he released two DVDs, “Dat Boy Funny” and “Put Your Hands on Me”. He appeared in several films, such as “Choices II: The Setup”, “School Dance”, and “Scary Movie 5”, and in many music videos including “Diamond in Tha Back” by Ludacris, “Whatever You Like” by T.I., “Lookin’ Boy” by Hotstylz, and “Choices (Yup)” by E-40.
